I had a sudden burst of making-inspiration so I’ll be doing that too.

Four days this week without a car…starting to feel a little stranded and running out of clever ideas to do with our boy. He’s been happy enough watching cars – everyday – and demands it, and you’d think by now I’ve caught the whole movie but I’m not certain. I’ve scrubbed top to bottom, hung multiple loads of laundry (how do we make that much?!) and taken tons of shop photos. I even got a bit of sewing done on my grandmothers old machine.

My mom was kind enough to swing by and take us out yesterday as I HAD to go thrifting and couldn’t stop biting my nails and twitching my feet until I did. Not too much in the fab department as far as shop additions go, but I did find a pair of unusual wellie gardening clogs at one of the shops you’d never think to find such a thing and for dirt cheap too – like fifty cents cheap!? I did update sevenpoppies today with a few things, and I think I must have been in a silver mood. My Friday tomorrow brings freedom, with keys in my clutches and the only thing I want to do is hit up two shops and get my orders to the post. That, is happy enough for me.

ah, heck.

I’m in the process of combining my Flickr accounts – I tried the separation of home/work  photos/shop things but it’s proving to be too much to keep up with on all sides. You won’t care if i mix digi with film? No, I know you probably won’t. So anyway…I’m adding new old things to my shop. I’ve been working in the garden. Doing tons of loads of laundry and dishes that won’t stop multiplying. We had a good family picnic on Saturday, with his parents in from out of state. Today I got a hold of a singer that looks like it might work, so I hope to do my sewing tomorrow. And the thrift itch is kicking in after several days without my car. A trip to a shop or two would make me feel quite good.

this morning i set out with a little mental list of the few things i wished to accomplish today…

* bake muffins. this website and this one have been my go-to’s for recipes more often than not.

* add a few things to my shop.

*work on H’s lounge pants

on top of these I also…

made a garden wall from the bricks I had salvaged when I embarked on my garden project. The garden is not finished,  but I’m so happy with how it looks now and glad I could incorporate these back into it

made two hair cut appointments, and an acupuncture appointment

paid off a nasty bill

had a super yummy avocado sandwich for lunch

and found a huge yellow garden spider and took pictures of it
